The West Point group had their first informational meeting in February of 2006.  Realizing the benefit this program would have for their students, they began a series of planning meetings in the fall of 2006.  They began classes in the Fall of 2007.  Three classes are being offered for the 2008-2009 school year and includes students from West Point High School, West Point Central Catholic, and Pender High School.
